How to get the BSNL CDR Account number and ID for Chennai Telephones?

Since the day BSNL (Chennai Telephones) has migrated to CDR ( Call Detail Record System) , it’s transition has not been very smooth. The BSNL officials have never thought of the customers who will be facing the difficulties of migrating to a new system all together.

BSNL has not given any link or source  to find the Customer Id or Account number for customers to register themselves in new BSNL CDR portal

The CDR Account number is needed to register yourself at BSNL CDR Portal to pay online telephone bills while the CDR User id is to register at BSNL Selfcare( BSNL Customer Care portal ) to track your bills, service requests, usages,complaints etc.

Steps to get the CDR Account number and CDR Id

1) If you are a new customer or new to online billing payment for Chennai Telephones , the best person who can answer is only the Customer Care executives . Call either 1500/1504 or meet them in person at the Customer care offices of BSNL.

2) If your are an existing online subscriber who have registered at their old billing site billchn,bsnl.co.in , then follow the following steps to get your details.

i) Log in to http://billchn.bsnl.co.in/index.html  with your old username and password.

ii) You can see a welcome message showing a link to get the CDR account number ,click on the link provided to get your account number of CDR and its user id.

Use this account number to re-register at BSNL Portal portal.bsnl.in and BSNL Customer care selfcare.sdc.bsnl.co.in
